Kafka, Neruda, A. K. Ramanujam

Been reading some translations of Sangam Tamil Literature by A. K. Ramanujam, and some works of Neruda and Kafka over the weekend. Of the lot Kafka has been one to affect me the most, and surely need some caffeine to get over with. Its interesting how a story can be both depressing and funny. I started with 'The Metamorphosis' - which I first innocently thought would turn out to be a dream. But the story turned out to be completely different. 'The Hunger Artist', I feel would have been more interesting and lively if it were to be enacted by Charles Chaplin. Started reading 'The Trial', but stopped after a few pages. Time to do some work as well. I guess I have had enough of literary reading for a weekend.
