Its been snowing here in Paris, and in spite of snow-paralysis striking the city a day before life is being fun. Yet to do serious shoots of snow. Only shots from mobile as of now. Till then, heres a snow-duck I made today. :)

1er Intervention les Extincteurs

A collage, of few photos, from the (mandatory) fire fighting class at CEA. The demonstrations was after an one hour presentation of different types of fire hazards, extinguishers, and DOs & Dont's. The 'thing' in the center was the small memento all of us got after the class. It was fun, and at the same time (a bit) concerning, to see how most people tend to go face forward while trying to put out a blazing fire, fumble, and tend to get their hands crossing each other while handling the extinguisher.

Someone has (ab)used an advertisement in RER B to gather support for the demonstrations on Oct 12th, against the retirement and pension reforms.

Incidentaly, RATP, which is one of the big operators that run the public transport in Ile-de-France, has also announced an indefinite strike from 12th!

On this occasion, the artist perfumer Francis Kurkdjian investing Nef 19heures to 1 am with the creation of a collection of scented bubbles. That night, the Grand Palace will be transformed into virtual greenhouse mingled with the scent of flowers, fruits, plants and honey, a soundscape, celestial and magical proposed by Beatrice Ardisson.

The bubbles were a bit soapy and spray painted people with perfumed white dots! :) It was fun trying to identify the specific fragrances in the midst of all perfumes. The 'soundscape' was well coordinated with the fragrances, and overall it was a relaxing fun experience.

Can now doctor philosophy!

Defended by PhD thesis on 31st, and now I'm a doctor of Philosophy specializing in Computer Science. How does one feel on getting the PhD? I would say just relaxed and pleasantly happy. Hmm... what next?? trying to spend my time usefully till I get my papers for my post-doc with CEA in Saclay.
